Lizabeth Scott, Arthur Kennedy and Dan Duryea star in this gem. He Walked By Night 1948; 80 minutes Directed by Alfred Walker and in part by an uncredited Anthony Mann. Documentary-style thriller stars Richard Basehart as a cold-blooded criminal. An electronic expert, he confounds the police at every turn. This film helped inspire Jack Webb toi create Dragnet , a hit on radio and televison. Kansas City Confidential 1952; 94 minutes Directed by Phil Karlson. Another documentary-style noir starring John Payne as an ex-con framed for a heist he didn't commit.
